Hey, I’m Tim, the owner of Car Gallery.
My journey with cars started a bit later than most. I was 16 when I first discovered cars — even though no one around me was really into them. What began as curiosity quickly turned into obsession. It all started with the BMW E36, pulled me into the drifting scene, and eventually sent me deep down the rabbit hole of Japanese shitboxes.
Back in 2023, when my obsession with the E36 really took off, I wanted a hoodie that reflected that passion. I searched online but kept running into the same generic designs — black-and-white photos, half-car illustrations with “E36” slapped on them. None of it felt right. I wanted something that actually represented the cars and the culture I loved. So instead of waiting for someone else to make it, I decided to create it myself.
In September 2023, I started designing what would become my first ever design: a Porsche 930 (no longer available). Honestly, I’m not even sure why I started with that car — at the time, I was just focused on creating as much as possible. I had zero design experience, and looking back, my early work definitely wasn’t great.
First designs
The very first design I ever created was the Porsche 930, followed closely by the S14. Which looks way different than the version you see on the website today. I probably went through over 20 different versions of the S14 design before I was finally happy with it — I might be a bit of a perfectionist.
From there, I kept going. I made designs of the E36, LS400, Chaser, and more. I wanted to capture the stance and drift style I loved — slammed cars, chrome rims with fat lips — and I didn’t want basic drawings. I wanted to showcase the real thing: the actual cars in full detail. Eventually, I made 10 different designs — a few of which are currently still available. I started posting them on TikTok, and one of my posts went viral. That led to a ton of people signing up for my waitlist, and I rushed to get the clothing ready.
On March 12th, 2024, the website officially went live — and within the first two days, I had 30 orders. Which blew my mind. It showed me that there were a lot of people out there who were missing clothing that truly represented the style and culture they loved, and that I wasn’t the only one looking for something different. It pushed me to keep going and keep creating. From designing clothing, I found a deeper passion for designing itself. In February 2024, I released my first decals, and later added car accessoires. I'm always experimenting with new ideas and looking for fresh products and designs to add to the collection.
This all started with my love for cars — now it’s grown into a brand that represents that passion.
Thanks for being part of the journey.
